In partnership with SEHA, most of the adult Emirati population in Abu Dhabi have already been screened.  HAAD now seeks to complete the initial screening of those not screened to date, follow up those who require further testing subsequent to their initial screen and to broaden the screening in 2009 to include women eligible for mammograms to detect breast cancer early (our biggest single cancer killer in women) and improve the chances of successful cure.

Through 2009 personal SMS and/or phone call follow-up will be conducted, on behalf of HAAD, for the following:

Category	Requirement
1.Nationals above 18 who have not yet been screened for “Weqaya”	Undertake Weqaya screening before renewing the “Thiqa” card
2.Nationals who require further follow up after their initial Weqaya screening	Respond positively to phone calls for doctor follow up before renewing the “Thiqa” card
3.Ladies aged 40 -69 years who are eligible for a mammogram	Respond positively to sms or call for a mammogram appointment before renewing the “Thiqa” card

In order to renew the “Thiqa” card, those who are unscreened and over 18 will need to have their screening completed and those who were previously screened and need further follow up need to visit their doctors. In addition, eligible ladies will need to have booked an appointment for a mammogram.
