Before travel
 
 

Avoid all non-essential travel to area that has reported confirmed or suspected cases of swine flu.  Get updated about the swine Influenza status at the intended destination to visit. Click here

 

While you are abroad
 
 

1. Make sure you apply all the prevention habits
2. Limit direct contact with public, specially who appear to have flu symptoms
3. Follow precaution instructions provided at the destination
4. Maintain contact with your family and friends in the UAE
5. Visit
www.haad.ae/swine-flu website regularly to be updated
6. Contact the nearest UAE embassy or consulate, if in case you suspect to be infected

 

After your return
 
  o If you return healthy from an area that has reported cases of swine flu, you should do the following:
1. Closely monitor your health for 7 days; look for signs of flu like symptoms
2. For the first 7 days after return, limit your interaction to the necessary people like work, school, and family

o If you become ill with fever and other symptoms of swine flu during 7 days after coming back do the following:
1. Visit the nearest clinic or primary health care center immediately. Click here
2. Remember telling the doctor the following:
• Your symptoms,
• Where you traveled, and
• If you have had close contact with a person infected with swine flu or have flu-like symptoms.
3. Follow the prevention advice, until the doctor confirms you are not a swine flu case or after 1 week of recovery.
