Abu Dhabi - 07 June 2014: To prevent Mecca-bound pilgrims going for Umrah during Ramadan, from incurring health problems, the Health Authority - Abu Dhabi (HAAD), the regulatory body for the healthcare sector in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, is organizing a Hajj & Umrah vaccination program.
The program which is a part of a broader campaign titled ‘Vaccination is Essential’ raises public awareness about the susceptibility of catching infectious diseases due to the overcrowding of pilgrims at Mecca and stresses on the importance of vaccinations. It urges travelers to take vaccinations at least two weeks prior to their travel. Timely vaccinations provide maximum immunity.
