The provision of drug information is one of the most fundamental responsibilities of drug information centers. The information may be either patient specific, as an integral part of pharmaceutical care, or relative to a group of patients, such as in the development of a therapeutic guideline, publishing an electronic newsletter, or updating a website. 

With HAAD efforts to expand healthcare services at the emirate of Abu-Dhabi and the integration of new technologies, HAAD - Poison and Drug information Center service aims is to support the safe, effective and efficient use of medicines by the provision of evidence-based information and advice on their therapeutic use.
