Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates- 12 August 2018: Department of Health—Abu Dhabi (DoH), the regulator of the healthcare sector in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, has signed a strategic partnership agreement with Injazat Data Systems, the Middle East’s leader in information technology and digital transformation, to develop an integrated Health Information Exchange (HIE) system for the healthcare sector in Abu Dhabi.

  • The new system will facilitate 49 e-services and eliminate the need for paper documents

Abu Dhabi – August 08, 2018: The Department of Health—Abu Dhabi (DoH), the regulator of the healthcare sector in Abu Dhabi, announced the successful completion of phase one of the Abu Dhabi Government Service’s integrated government project, “TAMM” system. The system has digitised key required documents including trade licenses, family books, passports and residency visas, transforming these paper documents into electronic data. Users will be able to access more than 49 e-services for DoH without presenting any physical documents.

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, 07 August 2018: Department of Health - Abu Dhabi (DoH), the regulator of the healthcare sector in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, is necessitating that healthcare providers in Abu Dhabi provide healthy meal selections in cafeterias, vending machines and affiliated restaurants. It is also calling for eliminating unhealthy fast food, soft drinks and junk food options to visitors, patients on regular meals and staff. DoH has set 29 November 2018 as the deadline for facilities to implement changes and ensure adherence to Weqaya standards.

Abu Dhabi – August 01, 2018: The Department of Health - Abu Dhabi (DoH), the regulator of the healthcare sector in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, has announced new standard requirements for Emergency Departments in General Hospitals across public and private healthcare providers.
According to the new standard, emergency divisions will be restructured into two distinct departments: Emergency Departments and Urgent Care Centres. The standard stipulates specific service requirements and criteria that all public and private General Hospitals in Abu Dhabi will be required to fulfill in order to obtain licensing for their Emergency Departments.
