Abu Dhabi – August 14, 2017: The Health Authority - Abu Dhabi (HAAD), the regulator of the healthcare sector in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, is implementing the next stage of reform related to significant improvement in quality of healthcare provision.

Abu Dhabi, UAE – August 13, 2017: As part of its continuous efforts to improve the quality of healthcare delivery in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, the Health Authority – Abu Dhabi (HAAD), the regulator of the healthcare sector in the Emirate, has introduced a new mechanism for accessing outpatient services.

Abu Dhabi, UAE – July 19, 2017: The Health Authority – Abu Dhabi (HAAD), the regulator of the healthcare sector in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, is urging all healthcare providers to submit reports detailing patients’ adverse reactions to drugs, as well as any medication errors or adverse events following immunization, within the stipulated timeframe defined in HAAD’s policies. HAAD is also emphasizing the importance of reporting all cases, even if reporters are not certain that the particular medicinal product was the cause.

Abu Dhabi – June 13, 2017: The Health Authority – Abu Dhabi (HAAD), the regulator of the healthcare sector in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, is urging all Umrah pilgrims to be properly immunized via the appropriate vaccines at least two weeks prior to their travel date. Giving so ahead of time is advised in order to ensure the vaccines’ effectiveness, by affording the human body enough time to build maximum immunity against targeted infectious diseases.

Abu Dhabi – June 04, 2017: Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council (QCC) in collaboration with the Health Authority – Abu Dhabi (HAAD) and Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFCA) has organized a workshop aimed to introduce food producers to healthy pre-packaged foods standards and train them to prepare their products in a healthy way to meet the standards. These standards include products that are low in fat and salt content and high in fiber among other specifications. The workshop saw the participation of 27 entities from the food industry.
