There is no doubt that what has been achieved in the healthcare sector in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in the past few years would not have been possible without the support of Abu Dhabi Government leadership and the dedication of Health Authority Abu Dhabi team members – Senior Management and Staff - as well as the public community and other stakeholders.
Developing a world-class healthcare system is one of the main objectives of the Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030. The Abu Dhabi Government attaches great importance to the healthcare sector; improving services provided to patients, building more hospitals and healthcare centres and encouraging private investments. The Government is keen to implement a comprehensive health system according to best international standards to facilitate achieving the Abu Dhabi Vision 2030.
Despite all that has been accomplished, the healthcare sector in Abu Dhabi has opportunities for improvement that we all have to work responsibly and efficiently to achieve.
As awareness levels increase, expectations become more demanding. As a regulatory body, Health Authority – Abu Dhabi remains committed to planning, regulating and monitoring delivery of quality healthcare to Abu Dhabi citizens and residents.
One of the most important reasons for the success of the comprehensive development process in Abu Dhabi during the past decades was considering human development as a pre-eminent objective for all policies and initiatives. Ensuring that high quality health services are available to everyone is, therefore, our highest priority.
I am honoured to be part of Health Authority Abu Dhabi’s family and I look forward to achieving Health Authority Abu Dhabi’s vision and providing a system that encompasses the full spectrum of health - protecting, promoting, sustaining and restoring services across the Emirate for a better, healthier generation, for the good of Abu Dhabi.
